Certification according to (IRIS – International Railway Industry Standard) ISO/TS 22163 and ISO 14001

The quality of our products and our customer support is very important to us. You as our customer should participate in our quality management to the maximum extent and to underline this we strive for the certification of (IRIS -International Railway Industry Standard) ISO/TS 22163. This certification is based on the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and contains additional railway-specific requirements and thus represents a significant expansion regarding the requirements for the underlying quality and management system (to be certified).

The new IRIS standard based on ISO 9001:2015 with the new High-Level Structure was published in May 2017 as ISO/TS 22163.

The IRIS regulations complement and guide the company processes from QMS (quality management system) to BMS (business management system) and require extensive documentation: 16 procedures and 25 processes must be defined and documented to an appropriate extent. Processes such as “project management”, “configuration management” and “obsolescence management”are particularly noteworthy. The regulations define 20 areas of application (Scopes of Certification), which are assigned to the suppliers for the respective product group. The certification audit is carried out based on a comprehensive catalogue of requirements, which can also be used by the companies to carry out internal audits.

Environmental protection and the associated responsible use of the resources given to us is another topic that we have taken up as a priority. In order to be able to present our contribution in a verifiable manner and to subject ourselves to a set of rules which forces us to always maintain a sustainable approach to our environment, our preparation is based on the additional environmental certification ac-cording to ISO 14001.
